I backported the VLSI82C147 IrDA controller driver from 2.4.x to 2.2.16 so I could use it with my HP800CT. I have a little Nokia cell phone which claimed to have an IR link.
Once I got the driver to work I could connect via minicom to the phone and type "AT" commands. Very cool.
Let me know if this works or if you have problems. At some point I plan to upgrade to 2.4.x but I'm using Win4Lin (and love it!) and I'm not sure they have a 2.4.x version yet.
I'd also like to know if anyone gets gnokii to work. My phone is not listed (a Nokia 3360) but who knows. At some point I'll try it.
