Step 3: Rebuild the engine...


The engine was overheating.  The diagnosis was that the stock '76 911S oil pump will cavitate at high RPM's and
stop moving oil.  I had planned to rebuild at the end of the season but it seemed the time was now.

Here's the new turbo oil pump.  Pretty, isn't it?

Here's the empty hole (matching my emotions) after the engine was removed...

Here's the engine parts after the engine had been removed and the case sent off to California.  It's almost a
front engine car...

And the heads and various pieces...  I stared at them longingly for what seemed like months...
